Collection Container/Type

Preferred: VCM transport medium

Acceptable: M4 transport media

Specimen Volume: 3 mL

Collection Instructions: 

  • Body fluids to be submitted in VCM transport medium must be mixed with an equal amount of the VCM transport medium.  Do not place small volumes of fluid directly into the tube as this causes over-dilution fo the specimen.
  • M4 transport medium is acceptable.
